beginnings of a sunrise at zuma

i love the galbi johns mom makes

_____

drove to zuma beach to watch the sunrise (sunrise part4 haha)
spent some time in reflection and prayer

knocked out for 4 hours then headed to the mall for some last minute shopping
ended up buying 2 hats– buy one get one 1/2 off.

dinner was at johns place, courtesy of his mom
tim choi, simon kim, vincent hu, and daniel so also decided to join us
i heard there was some pretty bad traffic
after a nice dinner we celebrated tim chois 21st birthday a little early

we headed back up to berkeley and got there in 5 hours. not bad.

this thanksgiving break was for sure one of the craziest ones ever (note: sunrise pt 1-4 haha) but it was definitely fun

_____

today was a jam packed day but im sleepy so ill tell yo about it tomorrow bye bye.

_____

ok so now im back and ill edit this post.

we went to bed real late last night just talking. some serious stuff some messing around.
ended up sleeping around 5.

it was really hard for me to wake up at 8:30 because the ecm had practice at 9.
i showed up at the Y a little late.. 5 minutes or so and rang the doorbell.
this man opened the door and said that the Y was closed. hm.
puzzled, i give jing a call, only to be greeted by her answering machine.
i head back home super confused, and go to annes to grab some breakfast.
jing returns my call, i ask her if we have practice at 9, she says yes, i ask if its at the Y, she says yes, i ask her if shes there right now, shes says were meeting at 9pm.
aish.

good news is that i got to eat breakfast which i only do a handful of times a semester haha.
i was debating whether or not i should just go back to bed, but decided that i should make good use of my time.

hit up the library for a couple of hours to ease my conscience.
i had a sudden urge to go around campus and take random shots. i hadnt taken my camera out with the purpose of taking photos for a long time.
walking around campus was really peaceful and even though i was alone i didnt really mind haha.

homegroups mike+joanna, john+ellen, and joe+annie met at anna head west to head to alameda at 5:30.
played frisbee/football at leydecker for an hour and a half or so. several poor souls had to study.
food was super bomb.. we had hamburgers and hotdogs. im not sure if everyone got to try them, but there were these little mochi cakes which were so good.
a big thank you to those who stayed to cook all that food.

headed back to berkeley at 8:30 so that we could have practice for ecm at 9pm hahaah.

_____

the rain was somewhat pleasant today.
it reminded me of when i was a kid and i would sit wrapped up in a blanket and watch the rain for hours (ok probably not hours but it felt like a really long time)
my mom would make me hot chocolate and sit with me too sometimes

fond memories i have are of walking my dog muffin in the rain to the park down the street in rainboots.
my appa would always come and watch me play.

im getting kind of homesick haha.

its gonna be a long, long night…
